Music Production and Audio Services Terms
Last updated: July 14, 2026
These Music Production and Audio Services Terms describe how Melique Sound delivers its creative services—including custom music, audio editing, mixing, mastering, sound design, custom instrumentals, podcast editing, and full music production. They supplement our Terms and Conditions and apply to every production engagement.
01Scope of services
The specific services, deliverables, and specifications for your project are defined in your quote or proposal. Where a term below conflicts with a project-specific agreement, the project agreement controls for that engagement.
- Audio Editing — clean-up, comping, timing, and noise reduction of supplied recordings.
- Mixing — balancing and processing of individual tracks or stems into a cohesive mix.
- Mastering — final loudness, tonal balance, and format preparation of a completed mix.
- Custom Instrumental — original beats and instrumentals produced to your brief.
- Sound Design — bespoke sonic elements, textures, and effects for media and brands.
- Podcast Editing — editing, leveling, and cleanup of long-form spoken audio.
- Full Music Production — end-to-end production from concept through final master.
02Source materials and technical requirements
Good results depend on good source material. You agree to provide files that meet the technical requirements we specify, such as appropriate sample rate, bit depth, format, and clearly labeled stems free of unintended clipping or processing, unless a particular treatment is requested.
If supplied material is unusable or materially different from what was described, we will inform you. Additional work needed to make material usable may affect scope, timeline, and price.
03Creative direction and collaboration
We combine your brief and references with our professional judgment. You retain final say over the direction within the agreed scope, exercised through the revision process. Clear, consolidated feedback helps us deliver the result you want efficiently.
04Revisions
Each engagement includes a set number of revision rounds, defined in your proposal and governed by our Project Delivery and Revision Policy. Revisions address refinements within the agreed brief. New directions, added songs, extra length, or expanded deliverables are treated as additional work.
05Deliverables and formats
Final deliverables and formats are specified per project and may include mixed and mastered audio, stems, alternate versions, or project files where expressly agreed. Unless project files or stems are part of the agreed deliverables, they remain our working materials.
06Timelines
Estimated timelines are provided in good faith and depend on timely delivery of materials and feedback. Turnaround begins once we have everything required to start. Rush timelines, where available, may carry an additional fee.
07Third-party and licensed elements
If a project involves samples, presets, virtual instruments, or other third-party materials, their use is subject to the applicable third-party licenses. You are responsible for ensuring that any materials you supply are properly cleared. Licensing of musical works and recordings is addressed in our Intellectual Property and Music Licensing Policy.
08Confidentiality
We treat unreleased material and project details as confidential and will not share your work publicly without permission. If we would like to reference completed, released work as part of our own portfolio, we will seek your agreement first.
09Client conduct and collaboration
Production is collaborative. We ask for respectful, professional communication and reasonable responsiveness. Persistent unavailability, out-of-scope demands, or abusive conduct may lead us to pause or end an engagement, with fees for completed work remaining payable.
10Warranties and results
We warrant that services will be performed with reasonable skill and care and in line with the agreed scope. Because creative and commercial outcomes are subjective and depend on many factors outside our control, we do not guarantee any specific reception, performance, or result.
11Payment and delivery of final files
Final, full-resolution files are released upon full payment, in accordance with our Payment Policy. Watermarked previews or reduced-quality drafts may be shared during the process for review purposes.
